Screenshot time, A galaxy taking shape

January 1st, 1901

Galaxy generation test, a small region of the galaxy. Galaxy generation test, a small region of the galaxy.

First galaxy generation test.

January 1st, 1901

The past few days I've been working on my galaxy generator, I've based the galaxy shape on the latest data on our Milky Way, I can't help it, such a nerd :) . I've created some visualizations of the galaxy below with about 1200 systems. The amount of systems will probably be adjusted at some point and the galaxy will change. Atm star type is just random. I'm working on a better algorythm to replace the random stars and there is still a lot left to be added to the galaxy and system algorythms.

Aside from working on the galaxy algorythm I've been working on the graphics assets used in the galaxy screenshots, working on my introduction storyboard, even more ship concepts (result of being stuck and doodling), website idea's for the Tiny Space website. I had a few lost days last week from a hospital check-up for my eye after which I can't see clearly enough to comfortably write code or work on graphics and family visits but all in all I think I got plenty done. Until next time, Cheers!
